Forest Grove, Oregon is one of Oregon’s gems.  Charming neighborhoods, a quaint downtown core, a small-town vibe and college town both at once, close enough to Portland to be considered as part of the metropolis and close enough to the coast to get in a couple hours of beach-time on a weekend morning and be back home by lunchtime.  Our local school district, the Forest Grove School District (FGSD), is currently seeking its next Director of Human Resources.

We seek in our next HR leader a strategic and collaborative leader with a passion for building strong teams, modernizing systems, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. As a key member of the Superintendent’s leadership team, our new teammate will play a critical role in ensuring that the district attracts, retains, and supports top-tier educators and staff. We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and adaptable professional who can balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring that HR systems and practices are efficient, transparent, and aligned with the district’s commitment to student success. FGSD is large enough to provide career growth opportunities, yet small enough to remain nimble, flexible, and responsive to the needs of staff.
