Robyn Bean

Consultant | Portland, OR/Scottsdale, AZ

Robyn is a seasoned Human Resources executive, who served as Chief Human Resources Officer for the Northwest Regional Education Service District in Oregon for most of the last decade. Originally trained as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Robyn has an MS from the University of Washington, and holds a Professional Human Capital Leadership in Education (pHCLE) certification. She’s a force to be reckoned with on the greens as well as with a sewing machine.

Tammy Campbell

Consultant | Seattle, WA

Tammy is the CEO of The Scholar First and is a widely respected educational leader known across the region and the nation for her work on visioning, theory of action and goal alignment. Formerly she served as Superintendent of Schools for Federal Way, Washington for six years. Her passion is to inspire and empower leaders to create systems and structures that position every scholar to achieve their limitless potential.

Héctor Garcia

Consultant | Chicago, IL

Héctor has been a Superintendent for more than ten years leading diverse school districts. Most recently, Dr. Garcia has been the Superintendent of District 181 in Hinsdale, Illinois. Since he arrived in 2018, the K-8 school district has posted numerous local, state, and national awards, including three consecutive Blue Ribbon Awards. Héctor received his Doctorate in Education Leadership and Policy Studies from Loyola University in Chicago.

Hank Harris

Founder & President

Hank started his career as teacher of at-risk youth in metro Portland (Oregon). Later he served as a middle school principal in the Los Angeles area and as a Human Resources chief for the school districts of Portland, Oregon and Bellingham, Washington. Hank is an avid world traveler, a perpetual learner of Portuguese and Spanish, and a diehard scrabble nerd. He is passionate about ensuring that every student, every employee, every board member, is well-served by an outstanding servant leader.

Ben Harris

Consultant | Northampton, MA

Ben is an editor, farmer and musician based in Western Massachusetts with nearly two decades of experience in digital media production and mass communications. He holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and an undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University. He currently edits an educational website where he is responsible for creating online education tools.

Kelly Jenkins

Communications Consultant | Bend, OR

Kelly joins us with more than 15 years of communications, public relations, and marketing experience. She has worked in a bevy of capacities including public education, healthcare, and non-profit industries. She has served as Communications Director for Redmond School District in Redmond, Oregon and now works with school districts, educational service districts, and colleges throughout the state of Oregon.

MALAV PATEL

Consultant | Washington, DC

Malav comes to us from the nation’s capital where he specializes in business operations, service delivery, and strategic vision. With an MBA from the University of Maryland, Malav’s work in the federal sector is a significant value-add to our team as is his strong experience in employee development and business process reengineering. His accomplishments and significant business acumen is, as far as we know, paralleled only by his acumen playing darts.

Christy Perry

Consultant | Salem, OR

Christy has 18 years as an Oregon superintendent most recently serving Salem-Keizer from 2014 until her retirement in 2023. In 2020 she was named Oregon’s Superintendent of the Year and one of four finalists for the national award. Christy is passionate about the role of effective leadership. Christy finds joy in mentoring new leaders, spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, and finding time to put her ski on the water.

Erin Prince

Consultant | Kitsap Peninsula, WA

Erin is a seasoned school district leader who has served as Superintendent of Corvallis, Oregon and Central Kitsap, Washington and also spent time as Vice President at the highly regarded Chalkboard Project. She is known throughout the Pacific Northwest as a thought leader in education reform and you also don’t want to mess with her on the pickleball court. Erin’s PhD in Education was earned at Oregon State University.

Jay Rallion

Consultant | Palm Springs, CA

Jay in a gifted educational leader based in Southern California with expertise in preschool programming and early childhood literacy. Born in El Salvador, Jay is a graduate of USC, with an MBA from Cal State Dominguez Hills and an earned doctorate in Education and Educational Leadership in 2019. An experienced recruiter, Jay has been involved in HR leadership work through the Association of California School Administrators for several years.

Kathleen Rodden-Nord

Consultant | Eugene, OR

Kathleen has served as Superintendent of the Junction City School District outside of Eugene, Oregon since 2003. With a PhD in School Psychology from the University of Oregon, Kathleen’s tenure and success as a school leader is a remarkable testament to her many leadership talents. Kathleen is an avid painter, traveler, gourmet chef, hiker, and very proud grandma.

Steve Webb

Consultant | Vancouver, WA

Steve served as superintendent of Vancouver (Wash.) Public Schools from 2008-2021. Steve has a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Seattle University, and was named the 2016 Washington State Superintendent of the Year. He was also a finalist for AASA’s 2016 National Superintendent of the Year and a recipient of AASA’s Dr. Effie H. Jones Humanitarian Award (2020) for his commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Steve is passionate about system-focused DEI, and lives it as the father of a bi-racial adoptive family.
